Wendy Ross

Jewelry

Artist Statement:

Wendy Ross is nationally recognized for her bronze portraiture and her large-scale abstract installations. Her work includes the George Mason Memorial on the National Mall, Flora, a fountain sculpture at Hopkins Plaza  in Baltimore, and Concerto in Three Movements, a work commissioned for the new Inova Schar Cancer Institute in Fairfax, Virginia.

Energy and movement characterize Ross's jewelry constructions. She brings her sculptural approach to jewelry to create unique handcrafted dimensional forms with an inherent kinetic quality and a permanent luster that never tarnishes. Her works intersect biology, physics, and architecture, fusing the mathematical and industrial with the poetic.
