Fran Abrams holds degress in art and architecture and in urban planning. In January 2000, she began studying and creating with polymer clay. In July 2010, she retired from her day job after 41 years in government and nonprofit agencies to focus on her art. Her work has been widely exhibited in solo and juried shows and has received numerous awards, including awards from the Creative Crafts Council and the International Polymer Clay Association. She serves as President of Foundry Gallery in Washington, DC, where she shows new work each month.
